Refrigerated compressed air dryers avoid the presence of liquid water in pneumatic networks. They force moisture condensation by cooling the compressed air to a temperature of around + 3 ° C. At this stage the condensed water is evacuated from the network by an automatic trap. The dry compressed air is then reheated and distributed to the network. This dryer is by far the most used since the networks are not exposed to frost or if the use of compressed air does not require moisture contents lower than performance provided by this technology.
