Final compressed air refrigerants

The heat of compressed air is a pollutant too often overlooked. Final refrigerants are used to treat this anomaly and produce compressed air that meets your industrial or medical needs.

Compressed air at the right temperature!

Cool compressed air

Cooling the compressed air, to a temperature as close as possible to room temperature, makes it possible to condense, before entering the tank and the dryer, a large part of the water vapor contained in the air.

Forced air cooling

The compressed air circulates inside horizontal bundles of copper tubes, the outside surface of the tubes is increased by aluminum fins. The compressed air is cooled to a temperature of 10 ° C above ambient temperature.

Water circulation cooling

If there is a cooling water circuit, the final water cooler can provide superior performance. The hot compressed air leaving the compressor enters a copper tubular bundle placed in a steel tube in which the water circulates against the current and perpendicular to the tubes thanks to a series of baffles fixed inside the body of the 'apparatus

Water vapor content and temperature

The maximum water vapor content in the air is related to temperature and is independent of pressure (see the dew point table). It corresponds to a relative humidity of 100% at a given temperature. A quick glance shows that the contents are increasing exponentially. It is, therefore, easier to understand the need to cool the compressed air in order to avoid installing oversized dryers.

Foire aux questions

The cooling of the compressed air, to a temperature as close as possible to the ambient temperature, makes it possible to condense, before entering the tank and the dryer, a large part of the water vapor contained in the compressed air. This condensation is separated by the separator which follows the refrigerant and in which sudden changes in direction and speed of circulation of the air flow project the droplets on the wall. They thus flow to the lower part of the separator or they are eliminated from the network by the purge system. A low temperature avoids oversizing the air dryers.
