New refrigerant with low climatic impact: R 513 A

Designed and developed on the basis of the ACT-EVO dryers, the new EVO-BLUE range provides the answer to environmental concerns and is a step ahead of the new restrictions on the marketing of HFC (Hydrofluorocarbon) refrigerants.

All dryers use the new generation R513A fluid, an HFO (Hydrofluoroolefin) with a global warming potential 6.2 times lower than R404A and 2.8 times lower than R407C.

Non-flammable (classified A1) and non-toxic, it has many advantages over natural fluids such as R290 (Propane), which is highly flammable and presents risks of explosion, CO2, which requires high pressures that increase the cost of components, and ammonia - highly toxic - whose use is regulated.

The choice of R513A avoids these hazards and offers a guarantee of peace of mind regarding the durability of the fluid used.

ACT-EVO dryers, thanks to their reliability, performance and technological advance, represent the best choice on the refrigeration compressed air dryer market today.

  • Dew point +3°C under pressure (Class ISO 8573-1: 2001 = 4)
  • Environmentally friendly, non-toxic and non-flammable refrigerant with low global warming potential
  • High efficiency monobloc heat exchanger made entirely of aluminium
  • Vertical design of the exchanger, natural separation of the water by gravity, without risk of re-training.
  • Proportional power regulation for perfect dew point stability
  • Extremely low pressure drop
  • Compressed air inlet temperatures up to 70°C
  • Digital dew point display.
  • Electronic controller with configurable remote alarm reporting.
  • Low energy consumption.
  • Electronic condensate drains (Capacitive drains on EVO-BLUE 1130 and above).

Advanced exchanger

The third generation of compact ALU-DRY heat exchangers is fitted to the EVO series.

This evolution has made it possible to obtain an optimisation of the profiles generating a better energy efficiency and a reduction of the pressure drop.

EVO-BLUE dryers process more throughput at equivalent cooling capacity, thus less power consumption and energy savings for the user.

Simplified connection

The EVO-BLUE series is equipped with parallel air inlet and outlet connections.

This configuration facilitates and reduces the installation time for filter connection and by-pass installation.

Electronic pressure transducer

The electronic pressure transducer mounted on a Schrader fitting advantageously replaces the mechanical contact pressure switch which caused a loss of gas pressure in the dryer when it had to be changed.

The transducer senses the pressure and converts it into an analogue signal (4...20mA) which is sent to the controller.

Adapted controller

The display of the dew point of the dryer as well as the management of the fan regulation and the various alarms are controlled by the DMC 34.

The hour counter totals the dryer operating hours and informs about the maintenance intervals.

The display of the condensing pressure allows to control the operation of the refrigerant circuit.

The DMC 34 allows remote alarm transmission via a dry contact.

Hot gas valve

Since the 2000s and the beginnings of the ACT refrigeration dryer range, the hot gas valve has proven to be extremely reliable.

This valve picks up two pieces of control information: the pressure and the temperature of the refrigerant gas.

The fine regulation of the refrigerating capacity in the evaporator ensures that the dew point is maintained without risk of freezing, regardless of the dryer's load rate.
