Removal of liquids

WS Series Cyclonic separators are built to remove 100% of liquids from the compressed air. The separators are used to protect air treatment equipment (filters, dryers,..) from the harmful presence of non-condensables (oil/water).

Build with a unique centrifugal module, the WS series guarantees an optimal separation between 20 and 100% of the nominal flow. The bulk liquid is removed by a built-in automatic drain. The 16 models of the WS series cover flows up to 25.500 m3/hr under 7 bars pressure.

    •    100% of bulk water found in compressed air removed

    •     optimal efficiency when used at 20 to 100% of the nominal capacity of each model

    •    highly efficient new unique centrifugal module

    •    corrosion protection through electrophoretic coating

    •    exterior with oven-baked paint

    •    compatible with mineral and synthetic oil

    •    compatible with non-lubricated circuits

    •    automatic drain with manual test

    •    compliant with the 14/68 guideline concerning equipment under pressure for type 2 gases

    •    ISO 12500 conform design

    •    ISO 9001 certified manufacturing

* Select the generic if you don't know which model to choose. The sales department will contact you to determine the appropriate model.

(*) Flow rate indicated according to ISO 7183 (20°C and 1 bar absolute)
(*)  If large quantities of liquid are expected, we suggest installing a solenoid valve drain or a capacitive drain.

PWS centrifugal separators

As long as the compressed air isn’t dry, any decrease in temperature generates condensed water vapor. This condensate comes in great quantities if the initial temperatures are high. Compressed air treatment equipment (filters, dryers) are designed to treat compressed air saturated in humidity but exempt of liquids.

Indeed, these liquids impair the functioning of dryers and are harmful for the filter media of the network filters. Installing a PWS series centrifugal separator will effectively protect your equipment from condensed liquids (oil/water) present in the pipelines. The unique centrifugal module separates the liquids, which trickle down by gravity to the lower part of the lower filter bowl and then removed by the automatic drain.

The centrifugal module’s elaborate shape avoids any return of the liquids downstream of the separator.

Foire aux questions

The dew point is the temperature at which the water vapor begins to condense. The dew point corresponds to a relative humidity of 100%. (This is the saturated water vapor content). The air can not contain more moisture in vapor form, water appears in liquid form (dew) A dew point can be negative (frost point) it is white jelly. The saturated vapor content is not linear with temperature but follows an exponential curve. The warmer the air, the higher its saturating content (e.g. 5 g / m3 at 0 ° C, 82 g / m3 at 50 ° C, 588 g / m3 at 100 ° C) The saturating content is independent of the pressure.
