Compressed breathable air

The air source of life!

Above all, air is the gas that men breathe. In many industries, the air is polluted by dust from chemical agents, toxic gases. Using air directly from the network to feed people is a mistake not to make because it contains oil, dust, odors, carbon dioxide (CO2) in high concentration, carbon monoxide (CO) and other potentially toxic gases. Proper treatment allows compressed air to be used as a respiratory source. The cost of this treatment is very reasonable for installations operating several hours a day.

There are 2 quality classes to consider for breathing air:

Breathing air for industrial use

For all industrial applications (masks, hoods, spacesuits) the air quality is defined by the ISO 12021 standard.
This standard requires lowering the main pollutants (oil, water, particles) but also Co and Co2 below set thresholds.

Breathing air for medical use

Medical air is defined in the European Pharmacopoeia.
This standard is more stringent than the industry standard in terms of authorized thresholds and pollutants to be eliminated. It replaces the old standard NF 90140.

Compliant with EN 12021 EUROPEAN PHARMACOPOEIA The ambient air drawn in by the compressor contains quantities of pollutants which must be removed before this air can be used for breathing purposes. Water, oil and particles are not the only ones among these contaminants. Toxic gases, such as carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2) must be brought...

Safety and protection of workers Filtration alone does not produce compressed air of breathable quality. The regulations require the elimination of toxic gases such as carbon monoxide and dioxide. The residual water vapor content must also comply with a value determined by the lowest ambient temperature expected on site. The BA series breathing air...
