Doors open from time to time ... The compressed air filters are designed to filter. . . compressed air. This statement can make you smile, and yet.
Significant amounts of water are condensed by the compressor’s final refrigerant.
However, often the compressors are not equipped with a water separator and this water comes directly into the element of the prefilter. This situation also arises when installing filters at the “end of the line” when, on installations without a dryer or equipped with a poorly adapted or deficient dryer, the water condenses following the cooling of the air.
The filter elements (prefilters or oil separators) are designed for air and not for water. A large amount of liquid water arriving in the filter element will irreparably damage it.
Refrigeration dryers are designed to condense water vapor and remove liquids generated by this work. Ingestion of liquid water decreases their performance. In addition, this influx of water can be re-entrained downstream of the dryers, their purge system being unable to remove such a quantity of liquid.
The role of WS separators is essential! They rid the compressed air of liquids before treatment by filters or dryers. Their exclusive deflector provides optimal separation of liquids by centrifugation between 20 and 100% of their nominal flow rate. Too often overlooked, they provide the solution to the problems of liquid water carried by pipes.
Activated alumina, new packaging
DELTECH activated alumina (Delsorb HQ A4) is now packaged in waterproof plastic drums with a net capacity of 45 kg. (View the photo).
The commercial conditions will be communicated to you upon request by your sector manager, or our head office in Saint-Cyr-l’École.
Unfortunately, this information was not known in time to be included in our 2008 tariff. We apologize for this and remove the 50 kg packaging from the tariffs in your possession.
